Overall it was fairly clean and everything was ideal.
We stayed here for 3 nights and will be back. We loved every moment of the stay, really amazing experience. The setting was nice and perfect. More than that, it was not far from castle douglas, kirkcudbright or gatehouse, restaurants, and shops and restaurants.

We had a great Christmas stay at this unique accommodation. the hot tub and sauna were fantastic amenities that we enjoyed throughout our stay. the private setting close to the coast was a key location advantage, offering us the opportunity to explore the beautiful surroundings. the well-equipped kitchen made it easy for us to prepare our festive meals.
There were a couple of aspects that didn't meet our expectations. the noise from the hosts who live above the bedroom and games room was quite disruptive, especially during the nights.

From the warm welcome with wine and chocolates, to the added touches like fresh flowers, our stay at Tarff Church was perfect. The games room with arcade machine, table tennis, and pool added extra fun, and the beautiful bedroom with comfy bed and wooden furniture was a delight. The kitchen/lounge had everything we needed, and the garden with hot tub, sauna, BBQ, and sun loungers was a haven. The location was peaceful, with nearby towns like Kirkcudbright and Castle Douglas offering art galleries, cafes, and Lochside walks. Highly recommended for a relaxed and enjoyable stay. Plus, Misty the cat was an adorable bonus visitor to the garden!

The hot tub and sauna were fantastic amenities to have during our stay, providing a much-needed relaxation after a day of exploring. the garden was also a beautiful space, perfect for enjoying the outdoors. the location of the hotel was ideal, with easy access to nearby attractions and activities.
There were a few aspects that could have been improved upon. the curtains in the bedroom did not effectively block out the light, making it difficult to sleep.

The best aspects of this experience were the fabulous welcome with wine and chocolates, and the availability of a games room with arcade machine, table tennis, and pool. the friendly staff made us feel welcome right from the start. the location of the hotel, with its close proximity to Kirkcudbright and Castle Douglas, provided plenty of options for exploring the surrounding areas.
The worst aspects of our stay were the lack of blackout curtains or blinds in the bedroom and the small TV that required casting from our phone. It was difficult to connect and wasted a lot of time.

I recently stayed at Tarff Church Sunday School and had a fantastic time. The location was ideal, with easy access to nearby towns and shops. The slight noise from the A75 Euro route didn't bother us at all. Layna, who greeted us upon arrival, was very helpful and the complimentary bottle of prosecco was a nice touch. We loved making use of the sauna and hot tub, and watching the red kites flying above was a joy. The games room with ice hockey, pool, table tennis, and an original space invaders game was a lot of fun. The comfortable bed provided a better night's sleep than our own bed. it was a perfect 10/10 experience, and we'll definitely be back soon.
